Our Guide to Vegas
We have been to Las Vegas more times than we can count and it's possible to have every trip feel different...from a party filled weekend at the clubs, a fun night in downtown Vegas or a relaxing weekend at the pool and shows. Our advice covers a little bit of each of these!
#1: The High Roller at the Linq
The High Roller is the largest observation wheel in the world at 550 feet tall. Each pod has a bar inside and you can purchase a happy hour ticket to have open bar! This definitely tops my list of Vegas memories.
#2 Sky Fall
We recently learned about Sky Fall from a friend who lived in Vegas for years. We are suckers for rooftops and this is definitely one you can't miss. Sky Fall is located on top of the Delano hotel and has views straight down the strip. The photo below is during earth hour when they turn off the lights on the strip to drive awareness for climate change, but imagine what the view looks like even brighter!
#3 Hyde
You have probably heard of the Bellagio fountains that draw large crowds to the sidewalks around the hotel. If you are looking for a better way to enjoy the show, head over to Hyde lounge inside the Bellagio to sit on their deck and watch up close!
#4 Eiffel Tower Restaurant
Again, if you are looking for an awesome view and a very romantic date night, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant is the perfect spot. The restaurant is located at the Paris Hotel with views of the strip and the Bellagio Fountains. Food is $$$$, so just grabbing a drink at the bar is a cheaper option for checking it out.
#5 Our Favorite Clubs
There are tons of club options in Vegas, but our favorites are:
Marquee at the Cosmo Hotel: https://www.marqueelasvegas.com/
Surrender at the Wynn: http://www.surrendernightclub.com/
Omnia at Caesars Palace: https://omniaclubs.com/las-vegas/
#6: Walk the Strip
You can spend a full afternoon walking the strip with a yard stick cocktail and shopping. Here are a few touristy places to check out if it's your first time!
Taco Bell Cantina
Madame Tussaudes Wax Museum
Treasure Island Pirate Show
Mirage Secret Garden
The Canal Shoppes at The Venetian
Miracle Mile Shops
M&M Store
#7 Our Favorite Shows
Shows can be pricey, so if you are not super picky you can find cheap shows from promoters on the strip. Here are our recommendations for some of the nicer shows.
Beatles Love by Cirque Du Soleil
O by Cirque Du Soleil
Britney Spears
Backstreet Boys
Blue Man Group
Zumanity by Cirque Du Soleil
Mystere by Cirque Du Soleil
#8 Our Favorite Hotels
We always check Expedia for the cheapest price and go from there...however these are the places that top our list.
Aria for the general ambiance
The Palazzo for the giant suite sized rooms
Cosmopolitan for the vibe, bars and clubs
Safe Travels!
The Cecils
